Oil Lamps
Our range of Lampe Berge styled oil lamps are now in stock. The lamps are made from hand blown glass and come in many different styles.
The century old method of using catalytic oil lamps has been proven to work very effectively for fragrancing and purifying the air in the home.

Using the Lamp - The lamp is very simple to operate - fill the lamp 2/3 full using our French Lamp Oil and insert the wick. Leave the new wick to soak up the oil for about 20 minutes (only necessary for a new wick).
Light the stone at the top of the wick, a large 3" flame will be produced, allow this flame to burn for approx 2 minutes only, this is to allow the stone to heat up, then just blow the flame out once the stone has got hot.
The stone will be hot enough now to be able to draw the oil from the lamp and diffuse it without a flame - hense the name 'catalytic'.
You can place the decorative cover over the stone and watch the oils diffuse into the rooms. Most people are very surprised to see how quickly the fragrance de-odorises their rooms. Because there is no flame, these lamps are much safer to use in the home.
When you want to stop the lamp just remove the decorative cover and place the snuffer cap over the stone.
